Volunteer Work
Philadelphia Zoo: In the fall of 2012, I became a conservation steward at the Philadelphia Zoo. I was mostly there to inform children about the animals at the zoo and the small ways they could help wild animals everywhere. I promoted environment friendly products and became well-versed in the animals at the zoo, especially the orangutans. I also served as a concierge of sorts, directing guests around the zoo and recommending places to eat in the surrounding areas.
Overbrook School for the Blind: At the Overbrook School for the Blind, I served as a mentor/coach in sports for the students at the school. The sports we helped the students play were baseball, soccer, basketball, golf, and my personal favorite goalball. Goalball is a sport that is a mixture of soccer, basketball, and hockey. It is very big at the Overbrook School.
