Public Speaking Foundations
I gained extra professional experience from this LinkedIn learning course on Public Speaking. My biggest takeaways from the course were tips on opening, delivering, and closing a speech/presentation. The course encouraged maintaining the audiences attention and keeping them involved in your presentation (depending on the type of presentation you are conducting). The speaker noted that the most important thing to do after you close your presentation is a Q&A to see what they audience retained and for tips on how you can make it better.
This course greatly benefits my future goals as I want to be in a management position and will need to speak/present on a daily basis. This course will help me with my presentation planning as well as my confidence in presenting.
