My Spare Time
Whatever spare time I have these days is likely devoted to family, music, golf, biking, wine and travel. Here is the Abrams Clan in the Canadian Rockies in August 2012, just one of the “bucket list” trips we are trying to cram in before the kids go off to college and adventures of their own.
We spend a lot of time in Old Chatham, a small town in New York’s Hudson Valley. Aside from great outdoor activities and the Fine Arts communities in the nearby Berkshire Mountains, the Hudson Valley is resplendent with history, great food and fine local wines. Here are some examples:
Old Chatham Sheepherding Company
The Beekman Arms (George Washington really did sleep here!)
The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
Olana, the Home of Frederick Church
The Culinary Institute of America
