Risky results of AI

I assisted a PhD research professor in the Supply Chain and Marketing department in researching the effects of AI usage on humans and the effects on our sense of agency. In this role, I encoded Qualtrics surveys, collected, processed, and analyzed data, conducted statistical analysis (independent samples t-test) and  literature review (e.g. ChatGPT, risk-taking, AI policy, AI use in education, sense of agency), and wrote a 17 page final independent paper. I learned how to consider bias and data requirements when designing research surveys and understand how an experiment should be set up to allow for quality and usable data to be gathered before beginning the data collection process. Additionally, I learned about the proper structure of a research paper and how to break down larger and complex information into easy to digest chunks.
