Ascend Vice President
The opportunity I had serving as the Vice President of the Temple Student Chapter of Ascend has truly been a rewarding one, working alongside my president, Sally Ka, and the rest of the Executive Board to serve our community. In this position, I had the privilege to be able to assist members of Ascend to ensure students had a sense of support and recognition throughout their journey within Ascend.
I was able to contribute to event planning, drafting correspondence for invitations, fostering member engagement, and contributing to decisions based on Ascend’s goals for professional development, community, and representation.
One of the most exciting opportunities I had during my 2025-2026 term was coordinating Ascend’s first Alumni Panel Night along with Sally. The event allowed us to invite alumni of the Temple Student Chapter to campus to share insights on their success, career journey, and personal advice. The event allowed current Ascend members to learn how people who were once in their shoes, developed professionally and the obstacles they faced after graduation. For me, the event was extremely fulfilling because it felt like I was contributing to feeling of community through this event.
In my time as VP, I gained leadership confidence and was able to contribute to an organization that has made a significant difference in my time here at Fox.
