Ascend Finance Committee Chair
Truly a great opportunity to work with Ascend’s Temple Student Chapter and their EBoard to help provide back to their community. Ensuring that each of our members is seen, supported, and empowered while in Ascend. I worked as the Finance Committee Chair, directly under the Director of Finance, to help budget and plan events for Ascend members. For events, we logged transactions, discussed product and marketing options, and determined budgeting approval with the President. Working alongside the EBoard allowed me to develop my management and collaboration skills within an organization. This role helped familiarize me more with managing financial accounts and operating those funds effectively. I think it is a great supplement to my career to go into the FinTech industry.
Now that this term has ended, I hope to transition into a leadership role within Ascend to further my commitment and provide a greater impact than what I have cultivated so far.
