UX/UI Design Intern
Nuubi is a small, educational technology startup. My official job function was UX/UI Design Intern, and I was placed specifically within the Desktop Onboarding team. In this role, I have a variety of tasks, such as developing sitemaps and user flows , completing usability testing interviews, developing frames and prototypes in Figma, as well as collaborating with other teams such has marketing, UX research, and development to ensure seamless integration of our work. Some of the primary projects I was tasked with include creating the global desktop header, as well as designing and testing the mission, values, and approach pages. Additionally, I worked with my team to create new iterations of the sign-up process that users go through as they arrive on the landing page.
Overall, I have learned a great deal about what the UX process looks like in a professional environment versus a classroom environment. I was inspired by my coursework in MIS 3506, where I was first introduced to the world of UX design. During my internship, I was able to make connections to the concepts that were introduced in class and apply them to my work.
