Enterprise Risk Consulting Intern
Ernst & Young is a global company leading in accounting and advisory services, with a vision to create a better working world. My role was to understand clients’ business and IT processes to identify gaps with risk management and control design elements. I also performed internal audits over specified areas (e.g., strategy, operations, finance, IT) of client businesses and drafted observations in reports. After gathering the information based on walkthrough narratives and client documentations, I performed root cause analysis, provided recommendations, and supported the business case development. Through this experience, I learned about how my work contributes to the overall success to my team, and how the consulting service line help clients and collaborate with other service lines. The financial and IT knowledge from Temple’s MIS program gave me a strong foundation to understand client’s business and IT processes, which enabled me to engage with my supervisor to understand and address feedback on work products and be accountable for delivering highs quality deliverables.
