Fall 2025 CSPD Career Fair
Attended the Fox CSPD career fair in Mitten Hall this month. The event helped me identify what employers are looking for in a candidate, as I begin to apply for jobs. So, in that manner, I found this to be a productive event, as I got to talk with recruiters from WSFS Bank, Subaru, and Pepsi. I think the most important thing I learned from this experience is that including a personal relation to the person or company you are talking to not only is a good ice breaker, but makes you more memorable. For example, I used my experience as a valet supervisor to connect with the Subaru recruiter, and attempt to stand out. However, for as much as I learned, the chaos and disorganization of the event made it kind of difficult to navigate. Most companies had long lines of people waiting to talk to them, and a few even told me to just scan the QR code to learn more on their site. While this is a little frustrating, it also is a learning experience about how difficult it can be to stand out among hundreds of candidates, and cause me to think about new ways I can overcome these challenges. I attached a photo of my nametag as a file to this submission.
