Pre-College Initiative Chair
As the Pre-College Initiative Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers at Temple University, I was responsible for planning and leading outreach efforts aimed at inspiring K-12 students—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—to pursue careers in STEM. In this role, I organized educational workshops, mentorship programs, and STEM-focused events in collaboration with local schools and community organizations. I also worked closely with my chapter’s executive board and national PCI guidelines to ensure our initiatives aligned with NSBE’s mission to “increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.” This experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and project management skills while deepening my passion for educational equity and STEM advocacy.
