Internet Network Setup and WIFI Extension Installation
For this project, I had the wonderful opportunity to set up residential internet service (modem) and WIFI extension for a fellow family friend. The first step was deciding which type of internet speed was needed. After the internet service provider delivered the internet modem and purchasing a WIFI extension kit from amazon, I first mapped out where to place the modem and run wires. After successfully setting up the internet modem, WIFI name, and password, the WIFI extension kit was a seamless process and vastly improved WIFI connection strength in certain areas of the house! In addition, I also connected all devices that needed to be connected to the WIFI service. Devices included smart TV’s, computers, phones, and other house accessories that required WIFI connection. Overall, this was a great experience that applied some of my technical knowledge of internet networks!
