Interests & Hobbies
As a young girl at the age of seven, I had an interest in gymnastics and cheerleading. After my first year particpitating in both activities, I decided they would end up being a big part of my life. I was a cheerleader all throughout middle school and high school, including two years of being captain of the varsity teams. As a freshman at Temple University, I decided to go out for the cheerleading team and successfully earned a spot on the squad. Being a member of a team has always been extremely important to me and this was a very valuable part of my college experience.
In addition, I joined a Fox School of Business Student Professional Organization (SPO) called Net Impact. Also known as Students for Responsible Business, Net Impact was a key part of my freshman year that taught me vital aspects of the business world. The mission of Fox Net Impact is to improve the world by growing and strengthening a network of leaders who use the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact. Fox Net Impact brings together students seeking to network and take action to foster a new generation of leaders who use the power of business to create a better world.
During my sophomore year at Temple, I decided it was time to reach out of my comfort zone and apply to be a part of Temple’s Study Abroad Program. In the fall semester of 2013, I sent in an application to study in Rome, Italy the following summer. After being accepted, I committed to the program and am now looking forward to living in Rome for two months to engage in and adapt to an entirely new culture. Traveling the world has always been a dream of mine and this will be the first step to hopefully experiencing many new cultures in the future.
