IT Intern, Lavner Education
Job Date: June 12th – August 11th.
Lavner Education is a company that runs summer camps all around the country. These camps offer various courses that kids can choose to attend each week. I worked as both an IT instructor and in IT support. As an instructor, some of examples of courses I taught were Artificial Intelligence – Machine Learning, Scratch 101, and Web Design. Some things that were important when being tasked with support were being competent to teach the curriculum for your camp, attending staff meetings, instructing private lessons (during work hours, if scheduled), preparing for the upcoming camp day, checking on inventory, and helping out in early arrival/extended day. I learned a few things about AI myself when teaching the machine learning course, but overall I learned the importance of collaborating with my coworkers.
