Supply Chain- Inventory Management Intern
In this role, I assisted with inventory management within my specific department of Women’s Ready to Wear by:
- utilizing Macy’s programs to allocate goods to stores as needed
- using Excel to complete analysis on vendor fill rates
- attending meetings to update other teams on progress
The main intern project was focused on Macy’s digital innovation/growth. This project consisted of:
- working with a team to ideate
- researching Macy’s current digital presence
- creating a presentation to deliver our idea
- presenting to Macy’s executives
My team suggested website changes and new features to better target younger consumers. My team won the competition within our category of digital growth. Through this internship, I learned how to better manage online work and assignments using methods learned in Lead Global Digital Projects. I utilized excel and data analysis skills to analyze data relating to Macy’s business.
