Chase Leadership Development Program

During my internship with the Finance Data & Insights (FDI) team at JPMorgan Chase, I worked primarily on a large-scale cloud migration project. My responsibilities included building and editing Alteryx workflows, installing macros, and ensuring that legacy data sources were successfully transferred to the new server. Once validated, I helped move these workflows into Production (PROD), allowing business clients to access dashboards with the most accurate and up-to-date information. I also contributed by reviewing Tableau dashboards and Autosys job schedules to ensure functionality, accuracy, and reliability.

In addition to project work, I focused on strengthening my technical skills. I utilized Alteryx Academy and DataCamp to gain deeper knowledge of data workflows and am currently working toward Alteryx certification. I also enhanced efficiency by editing older workflows to improve performance and incorporating defensive development practices using SQL to pull data directly from Databricks. These efforts not only improved processing speed but also increased reliability for downstream reporting and analytics.

Beyond technical contributions, I made it a priority to invest in professional development. I scheduled coffee chats with members of the FDI, CARI, and GFBM teams to expand my understanding of different areas of Finance and build meaningful connections across the firm. I also had weekly check-ins with my manager to review progress toward my goals, receive feedback, and ensure I was adding value to the team. Overall, my internship gave me hands-on experience in data transformation, strengthened my technical skill set, and allowed me to grow as a professional in a collaborative and supportive environment.
