Career Interests and Aspirations

Majoring in Human Resource Management opens a few different career choices. One area I am interested in is Staffing and Recruitment. I believe that organizations should always be looking for new talent. New employees can give a company a refreshing point of view, which can help advance their objectives as an organization. It is also extremely important to make sure that current employees are satisfied and fulfilled in their jobs. Happy employees make an organization run smoothly and efficiently. With a job in Staffing and Recruitment, I could personally  ensure that company morale is high.

Another area I am interested in is Employee Relations. This area of Human Resources supports policy issues, contract issues, hiring and firing issues, and discipline for employees. This area would utilize my minor in Legal Studies as well. Part of my job would be reviewing contracts to make sure that they comply with state and federal laws, thus making sure that the employee and employer are fairly represented. Employee Relations is important to organizations because it makes sure that every employee is being treated fairly by their company.

A job in either of these fields would be fantastic. Both fields make sure that the employee is fairly accounted for in an organization, which is important to me. I believe that having happy, fulfilled employees can only make a business run more systematically. Employee
