Introduction to Data Science Certification
During this certification, I strengthened my understanding of how data is used to drive decision making in organizations. Prior to taking this course, I had a broad idea of data science, but I didn’t fully understand the various roles such as data analysts, data engineers and data scientists. One of the most valuable things I learned was how data can be cleaned, structured, and finally analyzed to find patterns. This is relevant to MIS coursework where we focus on the point where business and technology intersect. Regarding my future career, this certification gave me a stronger interest in data related roles, specifically in data analytics or business intelligence, further motivating me to possibly pursue a masters in data science. Overall, this course helped bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and on hands real life applications in the field of information systems.
