Project Leadership
Project management and leadership is a huge career path that is related to this major. The course is by Cyndi Snyder Dionisio, and it talks and goes through how good project leadership makes good project management. It covers topics such as characteristics of project leadership, how to motivate a team, leadership styles and basic key components of project management. Being a project manager is one of my most wanted positions in my career path, I have connected with two senior project managers so far, one of whom I connected with on LinkedIn. This course taught me more about identifying different stages in project management, how adaptation is very important, communication with team members and being transparent with them so that everyone is on the same page. I would say, emotional intelligence stood out to me as I did not expect that it would be that critical. To me, this course is good if you have a little bit of prior knowledge of project management, and would like to know more in detail about leadership and working with a team towards a project.
