- Temple IT Awards
- During the Temple IT Awards, I was giving the opportunity to talk to industry professionals as well as many of my professors. Some attendees were honored with awards, and even Temple students won awards. This was interesting to an MIS professional because they were given the opportunity to network as well as see other industry professionals win awards. I learned how important MIS is and how many successful people are in that field.
- Research on Artificial Intelligence
- Researching AI was extremely interesting to me. This is interesting to an MIS professional because AI is changing the world around us. MIS will be directly effected by the changes in Artificial Intelligence, so understanding what it is and how it works is extremely important. I learned that due to AI there will be many changes in technology and the technology field. I also learned how impressive AI is and how it is going to help us in the future.
- Becoming a member of AIS
- AIS is a good organization to be apart of. Being around other driven MIS majors helps to motivate me. This is interesting to an MIS professional because it is important to network and get involved in student professional organizations. I learned a lot from the different speakers that came in to talk to all of us. I also learned how to get more comfortable getting involved and about different paths one can take with an MIS major.
