Interest and Hobbies
I have many hobbies interests including finance, current events in the world and local news, technology, sports, exercise, science, film, music, literature, cooking, the automotive industry, animals, and the environment.
Finance
Since my junior year of high school I have known that I wanted to pursue a career in business. During my senior year I realized that accounting was the career path I wanted to follow. Throughout my life I have always been very organized and accounting to me is being able to organize, trace, and keep track of everything involved with business. I was always interested in how successful businesses operate, what are the expenses of businesses, how businesses generate their revenue, and everything else to do with the finance of a business. Although I do not own stock, I do check the stock exchange on a daily basis to see which way companies are trending. Inorder to keep up with business, financial, economic, and stock news I check the Bloomberg and Yahoo Finance websites.
Current Events
Keeping up with the world today is important for being successful in the future. The websites below are where I read articles, watch videos, and view pictures of local and world news.

Technology
The reason I am interested in technology is because keeping up with technology is key to being successful in business these days. The advantages of using technology in the business world are endless and it is clear to see that today’s most successful companies are using technology to stay ahead of their competition.
Sports and Exercise
I have played team sports my entire life and still enjoy playing and watching sports. Throughout my life I have played baseball, soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. I spent about ten years playing lacrosse from third grade all the way through high school. My favorite sports to watch are hockey and basketball. Besides team sports, I also enjoy snowboarding, riding my bicycle, and skim boarding. To me, sports and exercise have always been a great way to relieve stress, meet new people, and stay in shape.
Science
Science has always interested me from a young age. I enjoy learning about sciences such as astronomy, geoscience, sociology, functional biology, and mathematics. In particular I am interested in oceanography, ecology, and geology. However, I am open to all ideas and discoveries in the fields of science. I believe the well being of the environment is important to life on earth and that sustainability will be a major influence of companies in the future.
Art
When it comes to art I have interests in music, film, literature, and cooking. I enjoy listening to many genres of music from the 60s up until the present. My favorite genre of music is alternative and rock and my favorite bands are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Gaslight Anthem, and the Foo Fighters. I do not have a favorite genre of film but I enjoy many classics and try to keep up with some current films. Some of my favorite films include Forrest Gump, The Shawshank Redemption, Pixar films, Saving Private Ryan, the Batman series, and movies directed by Quentin Tarantino. During the summer and winter break I usually find time to read. Recently I finished reading Catch 22 which was one of the best books I have ever read. When I have the time, I also enjoy cooking and learning new recipes. My family has always been good at cooking and I am slowly learning from them and on my own about the culinary arts.
Automotive Industry
Cars have always been an interest of mine from a young age. I have always enjoyed learning about the future of automobiles as well as the past. I find the new technology fascinating and I always wondered what type of energy cars will use in the future. I like learning about what makes cars faster, drive better, more comfortable, more appealing, fuel efficient, safer, weigh less, and all the statistics and performance numbers I did not already mention.
