Community Service Experience
During spring and continuing in the summer, I helped my cousin which recently had opened a new business as coffee shop. During covid, they struggled a lot because of the limited customer demand. They couldn\’t take pictures or hire anyone to boost their social media. Personally, I spent my high-school years in Turkey, and experienced the area where coffee shop is located really well. I used my free time and skills to create social media pages to increase the customer relationship. I was able to use my skills that we learned during MIS class \”social media innovation\”. The instagram page turned out really well and lots of people started to walk into their business by seeing them on instagram.
I was able to learn the opportunities and the ability to work from home with covid. It was nice to help my family from US all the way to Turkey. Also, being able to apply the skills I learned from class to real life was amazing.
