Marie-Christine Martin is an Associate Professor in the Management Information Systems Department.
She was previously a Technology and Services executive with 20+ years of experience working at three of the largest global IT providers; IBM, HP and Oracle. Her experience spans North America, Asia and Europe. She is a senior business leader with a strong track record of success across the entire business cycle including global sales and business operations, strategic planning, change management, engineering, manufacturing, human capital and finance. She has a reputation as a motivating leader who builds strong, loyal teams that consistently deliver bottom-line results.
Her most recent position was Vice-President of Business Management at Oracle, Applications Consulting, where she led the Operations & Delivery Excellence team. Within one year, she significantly improved key financial and operational metrics including the reduction of A/R by 59%. Prior to Oracle, she held the position of Global Vice-President of Operations for Enterprise Services at Hewlett-Packard. Within 18 months, she defined, launched and completed a significant global profit improvement program achieving 107% of target. The program was replicated / expanded to the other division of HP Enterprise Services. For most of her career she worked at IBM (Canada, USA and Singapore) performing a number of roles in Management, Strategy, Operations and Engineering. Marie-Christine has deep program and project management skills, as well as, demonstrated competence in business analysis, system & process optimization and team management.

Marie-Christine holds an MBA from the University of Montreal, HEC, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique, University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
