Analyst Development Program Intern
Over the summer I interned at Liberty Mutual Insurance on the East & West Product Solutions Team in Boston, MA. My team worked to improve underwriting quality and automate processes for over 15 international countries.
My main project was designing and building a clause generating VBA tool for Chile Commercial Property Insurance in order to automate the policy creation process. Throughout the process I collaborated with key stakeholders, end- users, and department leaders to ensure that requirements were correctly gathered. The implementation of the VBA tool I built was able to decrease policy creation time by 60% and reduced human error to less than 5 %.
I also completed ad hoc work that supported my team members work in the Thailand Non- Motor Market. I tested different versions of quote generating tools as well as analyzed and organized product information.
I truly enjoyed my time at Liberty Mutual. I was able to apply my data analysis skills I learned in school as well as leverage my experience working on a team from AIS. My experience over the summer helped me gain insurance acumen as well as improved my technical, strategic, and analytical skills.
