Web Designer Intern
This past summer, I interned as a Web Designer for the startup company Pound Cake Cosmetics. My role involved developing a web prototype that reconstructed Pound Cake’s current website to one that fits their vision and needs, utilizing the Justinmind software. In addition to this task, I sat in on meetings giving my input on marketing strategies for their Indiegogo campaign. Another task expected of me was to monitor their social media accounts, creating captivating posts to keep their followers engaged throughout this renovation.
This internship required me to learn more about the Justinmind software, beyond my class room understanding, in order to fit this company’s needs. In addition to improving my understanding of this software, I learned more about the makeup industry in the process. My insight on this industry as been widened and I am more aware than ever. Each week it was expected of me to present weekly deliverables, ensuring that this project meets its milestones. Overall, this was a great experience and opportunity that pushed my abilities that I did not know I had, making me a better candidate for my potential future employers.
