Our organization can generate revenue by creating a mobile application, “Parking Everywhere” (PE). It will allow customers to find the cheapest parking places around them in Philadelphia. Prices and hours will be specifically marked on the map. Downloading this app will charge customer an initial fee, so our revenue will mostly come from purchasing the app and advertising.

PE will use Apple’s location services and show all the parking places close to the customer on a map. Customers need to enable PE to get the information of their location in order to see the map automatically. Otherwise, they could also enter the address into the app to search. In addition, there will be a list of rating scores of every place under the map. Customers can go over the reviews to determine which parking lots is the best for them. Once the customer clicks on a spot, specific information like prices, hours and photos will show up. After the customer go to the place, they can write a review and rate the place. This application is created to use in Philadelphia only for now. We will upgrade it in the future.

The main revenue streams for PE would come from a one-time fee for purchasing the app and advertisement for all the parking lots and garages. PE could generate thousands of dollars in revenues due to solve the problem of finding a good place to park for people. The costs for implementation would include an IT team to create and maintain the app and a research team to get all the information of parking places.  Overall, this application could optimally utilize parking spaces in Philadelphia and help people to enjoy the city in a better way.
