USI Affinity Insurance Services

At USI Affinity I oversaw customer/ prospect databases and building reports to provide meaningful data to the CMO of USI Affinity.  Working with SQL to extract data from CRM systems like SalesLogix and Microsoft CRM I have developed my skills in writing SQL.    Moving this data to Microsoft Excel, I have used pivot tables, fuzzy lookup, and numerous formulas to manipulate the data into valuable information.   

Other projects have included editing a Business Development Strategic Overview ppt for the CMO to present to the CEO.   The opportunity to edit a high level presentation for the CMO gave me the practical application of Microsoft Office experience. 

Outward Bound images

Working with Philadelphia Outward Bound School has been an exceptional experience as it was the first time I was able to delve into the inner workings of a non-profit.  Leading in technological experience I am organizing the filming process of the upcoming Building Adventure.  At this event supports will repel from a 31 story building located in Center City, Philadelphia.  I will be orchestrating the flow of 4 GoPro cameras attached to supporters helmets to  live stream their footage to Ustream.

 Additionally, I assisted in database management to improve and create spreadsheets that would improve efficiency  and were considerably easier to present to management and auditors.  My experience with technology and shortcuts has greatly benefited all members of Outward Bound.

During the Spring Semester of 2013, I was/am the Assistant Community Manager Intern at Benjamin’s Desk.  Benjamin’s Desk is a coworking space in Center City Philadelphia located at the corner of 17th and Walnut.

On a day-to-day basis I aid in running a shared office and co-working space including: social media maintenance, data analytics,  email marketing, lead generation, and press outreach.  Communicating directly with the Community Manager and CEO to draft and implement sales/ marketing strategies.  I also assist in planning, organizing, and executing networking/ social events through the company’s Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest.

Through the use of Excel Spreadsheets and Powerpoints I presented multiple benchmark analysis’s on; advertising allocations, competitor analysis, and platform SaaS options.

 

Over the summer of 2012 I had the pleasure of interning at B&E Jewelers.  I worked side by side with the Owner on Marketing/Sales decisions.

I worked on designing sales windows to display jewelry for the changing seasons and upcoming events such as graduation.  Here I learned a great deal about diamonds, from the quality differences, sizes, clarity, cuts, and certifications that diamonds can receive.

By working side by side with multiple sales associates I developed sales techniques and knowledge about jewelry products.  I was able to be directly involved in every step of operational procedures.

As an intern I took upon a project to reduce the cost of utilities.  I researched numerous providers in the area. Reviewing the differences between fixed and variable rates, length of commitment, fees, promotional options, and sustainability of the energy service provider.  At the end of my internship I had changed the business electricity/ gas provider which resulted in annual savings of over $1,200.
