Information Technology Assistant (ITA)
Job Title: Information Technology Assistant (ITA)
Company: MIS Department | Temple University
Class: MIS 2402 – Web Application Development
Professor: Jeremy Shafer
Job Term: Fall 2022
Job Function & Projects: As an ITA, I sat in live classes on campus assisting students with their applications and in-class activities as they coded with JavaScript, HTML, & CSS. I also held weekly office hours providing students with comprehensive support. For every exam (3 exams) I held an exam review session for all sections including Professor Laurel Miller\’s class. I assisted students by responding to homework related questions via email.
My Takeaways: Web App Development was and still is one of my favorite MIS classes. I am grateful I was able to experience the class a second time as I sat in classes and assisted students with their applications. It was also a refresh of my memory as I remembered topics that may have slipped my mind. I also empathized with students as they were had to overcome the same challenges putting the API project together.
