SAP is a large software company that is known for its enterprise software for businesses. SAP provides many different types of software products. Some of SAP’s software categories are analytics, financial management, enterprise resource planning, data management, customer relationship management, and more. SAP provides its software to customers in wide range of industries. SAP’s products are some of the most widely used in business. It is amazing to intern at a world-class organization.
During my time at SAP, I learned how IT auditing works and why it is a necessary function in a corporation. Risks can form for many different reasons in an organization such as irregular organizational structure, miscommunication, or deviation from standard policies and procedures. I learned that it is an IT auditor’s job to expose these risks and make recommendations to mitigate them. I also learned about SAP’s products and overall business strategy.
