The university requires you to have an e-mail account ending in @temple.edu, to facilitate communication. This @temple.edu is the only acceptable email method you should use to communicate with me and our ITA(s). Communication from email addresses outside the @temple.edu address will not be entertained. Please note that canvas generated emails are not an acceptable form of email for our class. Messages submitted to the instructor via canvas may not be seen and/or responded to by the instructor.
Please feel free to visit my office hours with any topics to discuss.
There are certain rules I impose when it comes to email policy:
- The most important being that I will not reply to emails after 6 p.m. (unless absolutely necessary); they will be answered the following day in order of priority.
- During the semester, I will generally respond to emails within 24 -48 hours of receiving them during the week and within 72 hours on weekends.
- Please do not expect to hear back from me in a timely fashion if you email me questions regarding homework or the exam the day they are due. Unless they require immediate attention, you will receive a response from me based on the 24–48-hour rule.
- Make sure you copy our ITAs on all course related questions.
- Make sure that you always place our course name and section in the subject line. See below for an example:
