Why Should We Learn Salesforce? How Does it Benefit Students?

Kayla Callaghan - January 23, 2023 Leave a Comment

I believe that learning Salesforce is beneficial when taking an MIS course. Salesforce is a great platform that includes many useful features that we can apply to what we are currently learning. It’s one thing to read articles about what those in MIS do, but it’s a whole other level of engagement to actually be able to practice those concepts on a platform. For example, when doing the Max Labs, we actually get to practice how to input data onto a platform, organize the data to make it more efficient for our “company goals”, and even track values using dashboards. When doing this, it really helps tie in what we’ve read about and allows us to apply our newfound knowledge. Not to mention, this platform can also be utilized outside of the classroom as well. This course gives us the rundown on how to use Salesforce, which we could apply to future projects for future courses or even for a future job. Also, not to mention, having the ability to use Salesforce looks great on a resume. So, I believe that there are many benefits to using this platform.
