Oh, I am not looking forward to doing these Entity Relationship Diagrams aka ERDs. ERDs are data models. They seem difficult. I understand that they consist of entities that are rectangles, relationships are diamonds, and there are lines connecting the two showing the relationship between them. To help identify this look for the nouns that would be the entity, the adjectives would be the attribute, and the verb would be the relationship. I think it will also be a little confusing because it is similar to Swim Lane Diagrams. I hope I do not confuse them. The diagram has primary keys that uniquely define the record. Oh, and I almost forgot there are crows feet 1:1 a one-to-zero or one relationship, 1:m a one-to-zero or many relationship, and m:m a many-to-zero or many relationship. A lot of information, right? Well, let us see how this goings…

Hi Isel,
I enjoyed reading your post. The entity relationship diagram is definitely hard to interpret at first but once you understand the concepts behind the diagram it gets easier to make. The same goes for the swim lane diagram although the swim lane diagram is already easier to interpret in comparison to the entity relationship diagram.
