What’s the Big Deal about Business Intelligence?

Kayla Callaghan - February 9, 2023 2 Comments

Business intelligence is a set of strategies and technologies that are set to analyze business information and then transform it into actionables that will help business decisions. So, what does that really mean? Well, this is a tool that businesses use to analyze groups of data. This data is then presented in a chart, dashboard, graph, map, etc. These results are then supposed to help influence those decision-makers to make the best choice for the business. Therefore, I’d say this is a pretty important tool to invest in. There are many advantages to applying this tool to your business, like increased employee satisfaction, improved customer experience, and the ability to more efficiently make more data-driven business decisions. One of our assigned readings this week was an article about how companies are failing to become data-driven. With that being said, I think all companies should look into using a BI and having BI analysts on the team. This is a great tool that companies can use to start incorporating data into their business decisions. Overall, BI comes in quite handy when attempting to make data-driven business decisions.
