Big data has changed the way that large corporations interact with their customers. Big data is the collection of large amounts of data for analyzing and finding patterns. Companies can see which products their customers interact with most and how they feel about the products. This amount of data was not previously managed in one place. Now, stock exchanges, social media interactions and performance can be accessed digitally. An example of of using Big Data is McDonalds which incorporated more technology into their design to record data from customers. They use digital screens to display their items in their drive-thrus and have computerized their ordering system. Other benefits include overall customer experience, digital innovation, efficiency, infrastructure and technology improvements. Overall, big data stores voluminous amounts of data that can provide corporations with information from customers to make business more effective.
