Ad hoc review of past quizzes and the final exam study guide.

Your exam is: Wednesday 12/11 8:00am-10:00am – Speakman Lab 12

Here is the list of students who will present their work in class Wednesday (12/4).  I will ask all students to assist me in reviewing the work of your peers.  To be clear, attendance is expected from all students.

Today is an “open lab” day for you to work on Project 4.

Other stuff –

1. *Some* students were invited to present their work to the class on Wednesday. Most of them got back to me.  I will be following up with all concerned. If you think there was a mistake somewhere, please let me know.
2. If you are presenting on Wednesday – make the PowerPoint described in the “Project 4” document, and use that to present.
3. If you are *not* presenting on Wednesday – you still need to make the PowerPoint described in the “Project 4” document and turn that in on Monday 12/9 when the project is due.
4. To be clear, not every student will present. The presentations are “extra” and make you eligible for PRO points (per the Project 4 document).

Finally, be advised that the P3 STEM dollars survey will go out today.  (Same approach as last time.)

The deadline for completing that will be end of business day (5pm) this Friday 11/22.

Our last 20 minutes of class will be dedicated to quiz 10.

Please sit in your project groups.  Please  sign in to AWS Console and MySQL Workbench when you get to class.

I will expect that you use your own, personal SQL login today, and we will create a “cherry” database.

• Brief discussion of exam 1
• Remarks about project 4
• Work on the project 3 print feature
• Quiz 7

Project 2 is due tonight. I’ll start class by making sure everyone knows what they are supposed to turn in.

After that, I will

• Present the lecture – “What’s an API, again?”
• Challenge you to start thinking about Project 4
• Give you a “heads up” on a survey you will receive later this week

The last 20 minutes of class will be dedicated to Quiz 6

Most of class time will be spent working with your project group.  

However, I will want to do the following:

• Announce the third and final version of the project 2 document.
• I will review (again) how to check your work for A11y errors.
• I will review (again) how to check your work for HTML errors.
• Investigate how our auth function changed.
• Talk about what to expect on Wednesday’s quiz.
