This semester I am working at Apple in Cupertino, CA on the Business Solutions team in the Sourcing and Supply Chain division. I am a PM on the team responsible for interfacing with Global Supply Managers and engineering teams on building sourcing optimization platforms. These support the migration from more manual email exchanges for RFQs, quote histories, and BOMs to an all-in-one data-centric platform.

I worked as a Business Technology Intern this past summer at Power Home Remodeling. It was a 12-week rotational program. I spent time on every team in the Business Technology Department throughout the summer. My favorite teams were the Site Reliability Engineers, the Network Engineers, and the Data Analysts. My two favorite projects were traveling away from the office at Headquarters and visiting one of the company’s data centers to perform routine maintenance checks and install two new switches, I also really enjoyed using Tableau and SQL to make an interactive dashboard that was given to company Executives and used to make business decisions.

Hi! My name is Melissa Giang and I currently work as a Quality Assurance Intern at Eli Lilly & Company. I started in January 2023 and have been working part time while in school and in the summer. I assist the QA team by routing different SOP documents, create SOP user guides for people to utilize, and organize SOP documents and its attachments for when audits occur. Also, I generate a monthly QMS report for the QA departments and other departments to view. The QMS report shows the different projects that are due in the current month as well as those that are overdue. A lot of my tasks are on Veeva (QualityDocs) and Excel.
Mario Chegini says
Hi all! My name is Mario Chegini, and this semester I’ll be working as a Compliance and Risk Intern at Hamilton Lane Advisors in Conshohocken, PA. My role entails a number of tasks both in and out of technology and process automation. For example, a large part of my role is contributing to regulatory filings and monitoring regulator actions to notify the team through a memo or other communication. I am also pulled into a number of internal audits to ensure that we are meeting our team goals. With regard to the technology aspect of my internship, I am the point person within the compliance team to begin looking at process automation. Generally, I’ll meet with the team member requesting help with a project and work with them to break it down into a diagram/replicable process, and then work to build out a solution within our existing infrastructure, or work with the Technology Solutions team to find a solution if it’s a larger issue.
