I hope everyone is off to a good start at your internships. We have several students doing internships this semester and participating in this forum. Please feel free to respond to one another student here if you have questions or comments.
The first question is easy: Where will you be working/worked? What will you be doing/did?
Please post a comment to this post and share with everyone what some of your responsibilities will be/were. Others may have questions or may be doing the same types of things.
Please be sure that your user ID is your name and not your TU email alias and also that you have an avatar. We want to know who is posting.

This past semester, I’ve been working as a part-time IT Project Management intern at PGW (Philadelphia Gas Works). I’ve been assisting the Project Managers at PGW with drafting RFPs (Requests for Proposals – solicitations to vendors for a particular solution that fulfills a business need), documenting features/requirements of current and desired solutions, and updating project schedules. PGW is currently overhauling its CIS (Customer Information System), so that has been the most work intensive of all the projects the company is working toward. I have about a week left at PGW before I begin my next internship, but I’ll return here to work part-time during the fall semester.
My summer internship will be at AmerisourceBergen as a Customer Operations IT intern. My understanding of what exactly I’ll be doing at AB is still somewhat limited, although I have a chat scheduled with my team for next Tuesday to learn more. From what I’ve gathered so far, I’ll be working primarily with SAP and Salesforce to drive things such as Customer Onboarding, Inside Sales, and Business Rules. I look forward to broadening my skillset at AB and I will report back on how things go there!
I also look forward to hearing what everyone else is doing for their internships, and what they have in mind for their future careers. Best of luck and hope to speak with you all soon!

I work as an Intranet User Experience Intern for Temple University Information Technology Services (ITS) during the school year. I have been working on the Application Support Services team since November 2021 and have been part of the core team that implemented the new TUPortal for the university. I was responsible for making websites for all the major schools and departments at Temple including, Boyer, TFMA, Fox, CST, Engineering, NSFP, Career Center, Library. This past semester, I also worked as a Project Manager at Optimize Consulting Group. We worked with Youth Mentoring Partnership to help optimize their Donor Management System and implement the new changes with their team.
For my Summer Internship, I will be working as a Project Management Intern at WSFS Bank. As a member of PMO Team within the Digital & Change Delivery Team, I will contribute to strategic project efforts and guide project stakeholders in planning and executing large-scale, complex, and transformative changes. I will be assisting a Project Manager in overall project plan management, meeting minutes, status, and system updates. Furthermore, I will partner with Process Engineering & Automation (PE&A) to assist in testing and documenting Sensei features and functionality for the Project Management Office. The special intern project assigned to me is to create an intranet for WSFS Bank similar to the TUPortal that exists for Temple University. I’m excited to learn more about my role and share with you all.
I’m looking forward to having new learning experiences this Summer and wish all of you success on your internship roles.
