Career Interest
Throughout my years at Fox, I’ve taken many MIS courses that have been preparing me for what the real world has in store.
For example, in MIS 3506, the class was based off a group project where we designed a possible solution for a given company/organization. We, the students, were business analysts. We had to interview Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and stakeholders, create the proper documentations and design and finalize a prototype to present to our stakeholders. It provided great insight into what we possibly could deal with in this type of position. We had Project Managers to help throughout the process and obtain our goal. This relates to my career interest because this made me realize this is a field/position I may like to pursue. It allows your daily routine to be different, which interests me.
Another class which relates to my career interest is MIS 2502. In this class I learned the different ways to analyze data and interpret meanings. All businesses require some sort of data which helps them determine the most crucial and essential parts of their organization. It is important to know how and what you are looking for and how you can utilize the information you have gathered. This class has helped change my perspective on how important and useful data is.
