Welcome to my E-portfolio!
I am a freshman majoring in Management Information Systems at Temple University. I am embarking on a journey of gaining knowledge, mastering new skills, and growing professionally in my field of study. Joining Association for Information Systems (AIS) is the first step of my journey to preparing for my future career path.
Before coming to Temple, I grew up in Bucks County Pennslyvania, graduating from Council Rock High School North in June 2019.
Personal & Professional Background
I am a current Management Information Systems student at Temple University. I currently reside in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which is located just outside of Philadelphia. I spent most of my childhood here, but I was born in the Republic of Georgia, my home country. My family and I moved here when I was approximately four years old, and my family has made traveling a priority in my life ever since. Because of my interest in travel, I wish to include it into my future. Traveling all around the world has given me the opportunity to acquire a global perspective and bring varied perspectives to every situation. I have a greater respect for variety as a result of my exposure to many cultures and places, and I find it quite easy to communicate with others. I currently work full-time as a server at an upscale restaurant, but I’d like to start focusing on a job that would help me achieve my long-term career aspirations. I’ve been working in customer service for six years, therefore I consider my business communication abilities to be quite advanced.
I plan to use my MIS degree to pursue a profession in data analytics. To me, an analyst is more than a technical role, and I believe that with the skills I’ve acquired from my years of experience and education, I’d be a great analyst. I believe I have a good business sense while equipped the technical knowledge of the business world. I love how meaningful the role of an analyst is because it becomes part of the solution to the future of the company.
