Microsoft Data and AI Series: Build a Chatbot with Azure AI
I attended the Microsoft Data and AI Series: Build a Chatbot with Azure AI online event. The speakers were Dwight Goins, a Microsoft regional director, and McKensie Piepho, solutions engineer at Skillsoft. A chatbot is an application that uses AI to understand language and simulate human conversation. Azure AI can create intelligent chatbots quickly with one of its services that can be chosen based on the features and functionality you want as well as the target users. The presenters showed a demo of creating one by using a framework composer where you can configure Azure’s resources. I learned about how user experience ties in with creating a chatbot which relates to my coursework in User Experience Design this semester. Also, APIs can be used in creating a bot which I have become familiar with through my coursework in Cloud Architecture.
