About Me

Manasseh Owusu is my name and I am 23 years old. I was born in Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana West Africa. I am the oldest child of six kids. Whenever my parents weren’t around, I was the one in charge of making sure my siblings are okay. This gave me some leadership skills in which up to this date, I still see the skill in me. I lived most of my life in Kumasi. I had a happy normal childhood. I spend most of my childhood playing soccer almost every day. What made me different from my siblings as I was growing up was that I always preferred to stay out after school, playing soccer or riding up and down the street on my bicycle my grandmother bought for me for being one of the smart students in my class. I remember almost getting hit by a car on my bicycle.
I lived with my grandmother for the most part of my childhood. I did most of the hard work that I could even though I was young, I had to mature faster to help my grandmother run the house and her little grocery shop she had in front of our house. When my grandmother wasn’t around I was the one at the store serving customers. That is why I still love business.

Education has always been important in my life. My father always uses to tell me knowledge is power, and education is the biggest property nobody can take away from you until you die. So, after my military service which ended early this year, I applied to Temple University. I am a full-time student at the Fox School of Business at Temple University. I currently have 16 credits so 4 years should be enough for to finish my degree. I am currently a management information system major. I took part time classes while I was in the military. It was hard, but it has helped me because of the motivation it gives me to finish school. I had always wanted to do business, but technology has always been something I love. I thought about doing computer science, but MIS caught my attention. I like to spend most of my free time being productive to keep myself busy before school started, I occupied my time after the military by shooting and editing music videos. My goal is to become a system analyst. I am happy with my life right now. My positive attitude to face hardships has brought out the best in me. Today, I am looking forward to facing every challenges of my life in the positive way. In conclusion, current life and career goals is in progress. Although it is not easy, but I always tell myself it can be worst and that helps me to keep it going.
