Student Helper
For this position, I was required to assist professor Laurie Shteir with the CIS 0835: Cyberspace & Society course. I was an assistant for the 2025-2026 academic year, supporting over 60+ students in the Fall semester, and 25+ students in the Spring semester. I was required to support students with their lab assignments, which were mainly related to the services offered from Adobe Creative Cloud. The class primarily focused on building skills through Portfolio, PhotoShop, AfterEffects, and Audition. Additionally, I was asked to review and grade all lab assignments for the semester, ensuring that each assignment was assessed fairly and accurately, while also providing meaningful and constructive feedback so that students can improve their work even further. Finally, towards the end of the Spring semester, I started tutoring outside of the set class hours with a small number amount students who were either struggling or falling behind. This position has definitely contributed to my professional growth, as it helped me further develop my leadership and communication skills, strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs, and gave me valuable experience in a collaborative academic environment that I will carry with me throughout my career.
