General Accounting Internship: Temple University Health Systems
Rotated under each accounting department
Fulfilled accounting needs for 9 distinct business units
Performed reconciliations, journal entries, entry audit.
I worked with the TUHS accounting team to update and audit the general ledgers and individual accounts for each business unit under the TUHS umbrella.
I got a full understanding of the normal work life of an accountant for an entity as complex as TUHS and how much communication and standardization it takes to stay ahead of the work. This unfortunately does not include experiencing the fiscal year closing and financial statement preparations.
