A discussion on how important social media is. The speaker emphasized being active on linkedIn and twitter and discussed what not to do and what to do when it comes to posting. Picture at the bottom is taken by me during the event.
What I learned from the event is to not give up on something that you’re passionate about. The speaker was in a rough spot financially but found an opportunity to help expend the social media side or the company that he worked for and that gave him experience and an opportunity. I also learned how often I should post on each sight.
How this relates to my course work is I always have to be active on sights like this in order to give myself the most opportunities in my carrier. As well as publish what I produce.
