Ascend Co-Finance Committee Chair
For this role, I was responsible for managing the organization’s budget, ensuring that purchasing decisions and event budgets stayed aligned with the organization’s overall budget. This responsibility also included writing money allocation requests to the Fox School of Business’ College Council to receive funding for events. These activities gave me a financial perspective on how organizations run events and continue to operate as a whole.
In addition to the specific responsibilities of my role, the other chairs and I were responsible for coordinating fundraising events and a case study workshop. I learned how to market for fundraising events and create an activity where students can further their professional development.
