- I expected to learn a lot about how communication is vital in today\\\\\\\’s technology driven world because of the keynote speaker. I also expected to meet a lot of employers and learn more about their companies during the Q/A section.
- This relates to my career goals because the keynote speaker is actually doing what I want to do once i graduate. She\\\\\\\’s working in T.V. and the entertainment industry (at 6ABC) while being in the IT field, but also heavily emphasizes the importance of public speaking. Her speech really inspired me because I also love public speaking and think it needs to be put on the same pedestal as coding is on. Communication nowadays has plummeted downhill, but if we bring it back and pair it with IT, we can make our industry better.
