First Major Client
My primary focus as an account manager is to acquire work from businesses in the baking, manufacturing, or power generation industry. After one year of making cold calls and getting turned away at the door of many companies, I was able to lock the largest supplier of raw material in North America. After three follow up calls and a meeting with the head of maintenance, I was able to get into the supplier system. This gives my company the opportunity to bid on any machining job that arises. Within the first month, we received our first job and business has been steady ever since.
