My Internship Expirence
During the Summer of 2018 I have been fortunate enough to intern at EY in the Risk Advisory Practice (RAP). The internship offered me incredible learning experiences and surrounded me with bright individuals who were more than willing to shed some of their knowledge onto me. I was given the opportunity to attend networking events with both fellow interns and Partners at the firm. The firm has a system set up to help guide you through your experience with peer mentor, a staff employee who has been with the firm for a year or so and was just in your shoes. As well as a counselor system where you can talk to them for help, career guidance, etc. Most importantly though, I was able to gain vast insight on what a career in Risk Auditing is like, by going out to client sites, interviewing clients, collaborating with team members, and working on documentation. The EY internship was no “go get us coffee” like internship, rather I was seen as a valued member of the team and I felt as though what I said mattered and as though my opinions and thoughts were seriously taken into account.
