Launch Intern
This summer, I had the opportunity to intern with EY for their Launch Internship in their Philadelphia Office. This internship is a rotational program that provided me with the knowledge to work on projects with a variety of teams in EY’s three service lines: Tax, Assurance, and Technology Risk Advisory to gain insight into the operations of their global organization.
During the internship, I spent two weeks within each service line and worked on multiple engagements with my role and tasks varying for each service line. During my Technology Risk Advisory rotation, I worked on the evaluation authentication and validation process of pharmaceutical companies’ internal processes. I was responsible for testing these processes and creating the proper work papers for each validation. Throughout the internship, I also assisted in identifying and securing sales tax refunds for clients in the tax practice, worked on the preparation and presentation of sales matters to clients, and worked on a team that computed state and local taxes for pharmaceutical corporations and helped over 100 of them receive more than 2 million in Refunds.
In addition to working on engagement teams, we also participated in intern events, networking dinners, web-based learning sessions, and national conference calls. The Launch Internship helped him see so many of the opportunities EY offers and how different teams work together to deliver exceptional service to their clients.
I am set to intern with EY this summer for a second Launch Internship.
