AIS Mentorship Program
Fall 2018
I have learned a lot from the AIS mentorship program such as better networking skills and being able to be a more active member of the SPO. My experience with my mentor really helped me better my resume for the internships I will be applying in the near future. My mentor was able to motivate me to apply and reach out to companies to gain experience in the information technology areas. I also learned about AIS a lot more and what events could be beneficial to me. I have learned to be involved in community service as well as socially.
Fall 2019-Spring 2020
This year I really have learned how to properly transition between going to class and going totally online from my mentor. This was quick and sudden so it was hard to map out how rest of the semester was going to look like. After working through and transitioning it was important to get good grades, plan for fall semester and look for an internship. I was able to figure all this out with the help of mentor so I am going into fall semester ready. I was able to work on resume and networking skills to help applying for a full-time job in the near future. Overall, I have learned a lot even though there were so many things going on at once. I was able to cope with school being online and how to keep myself motivated in a tough environment.
