Internship Experience
Summer of 2015, I interned as Protiviti in the Information Security & Privacy Management and Internal Audit & Financial Advisory Technology. Through my internship:
- Developed proficiency with the latest industry tools and techniques for vulnerability assessments and external penetration testing, including exploitation frameworks, vulnerability scanners, and web application security tools.
- Provided clients with full spectrum vulnerability assessments, including reports describing each vulnerability’s attack vector, criticality, and remediation.
- Contributed to client deliverables by working closely with Senior Consultants and Managers.
- Worked directly with clients to produce a framework for their Vendor Management Assessment.
Summer of 2014, I interned at WELL Technology LLC. which is a startup located in Philadelphia. WELL Technology is creating tools to help non-dependent alcohol drinkers modify or moderate their drinking. The tools that I helped worked on was the mobile app. Even though, we hired an app developer, I provided support by overseeing the app development and by reviewing the wire frame. We expect to release our beta mobile app with the Alcohol and Drug’s office at University of Pennsylvania on October 15th. I created the landing page for the company by using WordPress. I also researched possible technologies to use for our wearable. We decided to partner with Antimatter Research Inc. out in California. They agreed to start the develop process of the wearable, while we handle the business aspect. I was able to contribute by building out the business model canvas by participating in Penn Center for Innovation Lean Launchpad summer course. All in all, interning at WELL allowed me to develop a sound business foundation that I will like to build on.
